"description": "Delivery of bespoke communication activities and travel choice interventions to support a reduction in actual delay during construction phases of the M60 Simister Island, relative to the forecasted disruption. \r\nWithin Greater Manchester, M60 J18 Simister Island is due for construction during Roads Period 3 (2026-2031). During construction phase, there are forecasted delays which will impact our customers and local communities. From a customer perspective, the number of journeys through this junction is significant (90,000 vehicles a day) and are a blend of commuter, leisure and business travel plus significant freight movements. This task will proceed the first phase of this project, delivering and project managing the previously developed travel choice plan though bespoke communications activities and other travel choice interventions for different key customer audiences, to minimise predicted congestion and maintain customer satisfaction as best as possible during the roadworks phase. \r\nThis project is listed in our Customer Experience Division Portfolio business case for RIS3. This project aims to meet the needs of all users and providing fast and reliable journey times and reduce delay during roadworks (PI). Our Customer Service Strategy also sets out how we will cater for all our customers and support an improvement in customer journey experience. Travel choice activities will play a key role in enhancing the travel experience throughout the delivery phase of these major works.\r\nThe project will focus on:\r\n-\tLeading finalisation and management of travel choice interventions on selected weekend closures between contract start and 31 March 2027, developed as part of previous Task S30042\r\n-\tDevelopment of a Travel Choice Communications Plan including agreement of key messages with stakeholders\r\n-\tContinued engagement with the Major Project Delivery Team, Transport for Greater Manchester and other identified key stakeholders.",

Further consideration during the evaluation process has identified a requirement to extend Teams telephony functionality to a wider user base, with approximately 700 users requiring access to telephony functionality.\r\n \r\n Due to this change and increased scope we felt the appropriate action was to terminate the previous tender and launch a revised version, this tender is the revised version.",

DfE will not recommend, endorse, select or match organisations. Organisations will remain responsible for deciding whether and how they engage or collaborate with others.\r\n\r\nParticipation or non-participation in the networking register will have no bearing on eligibility to participate in, or the evaluation of, any subsequent procurement.\r\n\r\nThis activity forms part of DfE's pre-market engagement and does not constitute a call for competition or an invitation to tender. Any subsequent procurement will be conducted separately in accordance with the applicable process under RM6126.\r\n\r\nAdditional information: \r\nInformation submitted through the form will be used for the purpose of facilitating supplier networking in connection with the SEND Reform Evaluation opportunity. Contact details will only be included in the networking register where the individual has provided consent for DfE to share them for this purpose.",
